alignment

when i drive in straight lines my car HARDLY drifts to the left.. but when i'm in high rpms and floor it i . e second gear my steering wheel turns to the left quit a bit.. it is easily controlable but i was wondering if this would be due to me needing an alignment...

also.. when iw as doing an oilchange i found grease from the oil pan seems to have come from the boot i took off that went into the intermedieat shaft.. i'll fill it up again and tighten it could that be the case as well?

that's called torque steer, cuz the one driveshaft is longer than the other, so it starts to pull to the one side. it's a combination of traction, road conditions, and power. no alignment will fix that.

yes

btw if there is a light brown colored grease on the oil pan then one of your CV joint boots has ripped and will need to be replaced...

V8 hunter has a b16 in his ed, might be a bit more powerful then yours... I feel torque steer with my b16. Its the major reason i won't spend $$$ on making my car super fast, cuz it will only mean more torque steer.

it is... no rust... thanks alot..
the boot has not ripped.. but when i transfered the axle to the intermediate shaft... i couldn't get it as tight... i figured out that the pice that is used for crimping should be used in this case.. but i don't have the proper pliers for that.. i'm going deal with it right now.. thanks alot..
