air intake and air breathers

air intake and air breathers

i just got my air intake installed with aem filter im just wondering y it is so loud when the car is in drive i can realy hear the air going through is this normal? and are air breathers good to get?

yes its normal.

breather filters are illegal and pointless.

the sound is probably one of the biggest reasons why people get intakes lol.

Learn something new everyday.....didn't know breather filters were illegal....

Had one on my turbo cavy. It wasn't pointless, the crankcase needs ventilation, and I didn't just want an open hole in my valve cover, so naturally I put a filter breather on......no biggy.

its illegal because your venting crankcase gases into the atmosphere instead of recycling it , emissions crap..

If your intake has a velocity stack, it will sound even weirder.

I'm running a Bpi velocity stack....and yes, they sounds awesome!!!

Not to mention they do help make a few more ponies
