Air conditioning
Hey guys, warm weather is coming and after not having my AC working last summer, **** that...this summer its gotta be blowing cold.
So I know I need to have it tested for leaks and re-filled if none, but what is often the source of a leak if there is one and anyone know a decent shop to get this done at. I don't think any of our affiliates deal with AC that I know of. Car is a 1999 1.6EL and when I bought it in Feb 2005, didn't work then. |
Your best bet is dealership, because to handle AC freon requires special licence.
But Scott Newman is getting that licence soon, so contact him. |

Check around every connection for oil residue, check on the compressor aswell as anything in front of or behind the compressor for oil marks as the front seal inside the compressor is usually what goes and then the oil inside the compressor gets spun out around ur engine bay by the pulley. Once that seal goes the refrigerant is free to leak out. Drop me a pm if you have anymore questions. |
