Post The AGX Shox Saga -- final chapter

Hey Guys:

The AGX adjustables arrived today. FINALLY!

The final cost in CDN via UPS, shipping, duty, taxes, and brokerage included, is $634.00. A good $120.00 cheaper than the lowest I was quoted in Toronto.

If they had arrived by USPS, they would have cost CDN$556.00. A significant saving over the Toronto prices.

So, it looks like some guy along the way from North Carolina has himself a nice set of KYBs! Glad CoxImport insured the original USPS package.

Chronology for the terminally bored:

July 1- 16 : Search web and local stores for best deal on AGXs
July 17: Order shox from *** (polite and knowledgable service)
August 7: Call *** to find out WTF my shox are (they are courteous, and say they'll watch for them their end in case of return -- we double check address, etc.) They mention they were shipped on July 25! A week after my order.
August 14: Call *** again, after calling Canada Post and Canada Customs. Explain the details -- the owner, Michael, takes great pains to alleviate any fears and suggests if I have not received them in another few days to get back to him.
August 19: email to owner now stating that I want a resolution one way or the other. He does not respond.
August 23: Call ***. They say they will get things moving re USPS refund and get back to me before close of business. They didn't! I called them. The shipper (a very nice fellow) said that he 'had got the ball rolling' and as soon as they received the cheque from USPS, they would ship me another set. That's when the crap hit the fan -- gently. I suggested it good customer service on their part, let alone many in TCC and ClubSi waiting to hear the outcome, thay they ship me another set UPS immediately, since they had had my money for nearly six weeks! After some cordial debate, he made an executive decision, and shipped another set UPS.

Happy ending.

Phew!!!

Good deal in the end, and USPS would have been really sweet. But UPS still worked out.

I ordered these same shocks from them last year on a GB... shipped UPS, arrived 3 days later, total cost was $604 CDN.

Michael does good business.

Try 2 all around. Adjust according to what you think the ride should feel like.

settings

hey, that's good to hear!
well, i got mine set on 2 all around and to tell you the truth, i feel no diff between 2-3... i tested the two settings out, turned my music all the way down and drove aggressively on the same streets plus did 100-120(traffic) to and from import rev taking the dvp and i found no diff.. just put it on 2 cause it's the most popular.
