Aftermarket Shocks
I got on h&r sports on my stock shocks now and im gonna get aftermarket shocks..
Big Jeff gots the same car with the sports and kyb agx's, and his car sits lower than mine (about half an inch)... now will my car sit lower when I install aftermarket shocks. The reason i ask this is because the 17" rims on the car have, i believe, 45 offset... Now, they only rub when i corner EXTREMELY hard, daily driving is fine.
Will my car sit lower with aftermarket shocks installed, and if so, do you think it will make that much of a difference as to cause rubbing with my wheels?
thanks

i agree with duy, stock wouldn't do you anything unless your springs are dead. on my Koni yellows there are perch settings but i'm already as low as i can go and still not 100% happy. just need to play the springs. with an offset of 45? if you are able to lower it another 1" for say with aftermarket, your rims you might even rub with you go over a bump. fender might rub up against the side of the tire in the back. but if that is the case you can bend the fender a little bit. or you might need spacers.

There are some 16" rims (the tires are 205 45) I'm looking to get and they rub on the back fender as well. Never seen what spacers look like. Got the car used 2 years ago. Never did anything with the suspesion..but the back is lower than the front (even without the speaker box). Would you guys suggest I just bite the price-bullet and do the springs and shocks or should I look into the spacers?
I have replaced the the lower ball joint on the drivers side and it's gone again, in just a year...could that be a result of needing to replace the shocks or springs?
