AEM SRI xtra hose

i just drained the coolant fluid to install this coolant bypass hose that comes in AEM SRI package.

i am wondering if the procedure is correct.

i opened the coolant cap, twist the drain plug, let the coolant drained. after about 2 L of it came out, i took the stock hose (the hard double hose, coolant + rebreather).

after i tried several position of the hose, i set the hose but part of it is touching the fuel rail. would i have a problem with that?

also is it ok if the hose is slightly bent on the part that is in contact with the fuel rail?

as i filled up the coolant, would i have air inside the coolant system, im afraid the car can get overheating.

thank you so much for the help.

you dont have to drain the coolent to install that hose. did it say to do that in the instructions?

to bleed air out of the system, sqeeze the top rad hose with the cap off and it will bubble out the top of the rad, top off, do it again

yea it actually says to drain one gallon of coolant, but since the coolant capacity is only 3.sumtin liter, i only drain 2 L.

would you tell me which one is the top rad hose? sorry im newbie in this thing.

so the cap is off, and the hose is squeezed.
is it the hose that is on the very top of radiator?
next to the cap?

thanks so much

yup thats the one. squeeze that a few times(not so hard that the coolent comes out, but just enough to get the air out) then let it go and the coolent level should drop abit (hence air beaing released from the system) then top it off, and repete the process till the coolent stops droping after u squeeze it. Make sure to run the engine for abit with the heater on full, let it cool, then do it again.

depending on your engine there might be a bleeder screw somewhere in the area as at the thermostat below on the block somwhere on the tranny side.... I think all B series have it, and D series you have to just use the meathod i explained.
