AEM adjustable cam gear, any good??

AEM adjustable cam gear, any good??

what if any benefits will i get from a adjustable cam gear on a SOHC VTEC motor?? and what or how do i use it??? thanks

nope not worth it at all....you adjust the cam timing..basiclaly changing the angle of the cam in relation to the lifter therefore retardign or advancing when the cam woudl open/close the valve...not worth it at all unless you have a cam and a vafc to tune everything...your not gonan get much from your motor...best bang woudl be a lsd zc tranny so save up for that...then i/h/e then some nitrous then that's abotu all you can do other than turbocharging...

Ditto. There's no point in getting a cam gear with a stock cam unless it's just for show.

If its for a stock engine....then no its not a good purchase. But if you are making some decent power than it can do wonders. A guy i know used one on his turbo d16 and picked up 8hp and 9tq. Mine is on order and hoping to get it in soon.

yep its pretty much just a tuning instrument, you might gain a little on a stock motor but not nearly as much as could be had on a built motor
