Adjusting ride height - KONI YELLOW
I just put on my koni coilovers....koni yellow shock + red spring and now i just realize (cuz im an idiot) that i should have adjusted the levels...one side of the car is a little lower than the other...i went under the car and realized the two rings (that adjust ride height) are higher from one side than the other; causing the inconsistency in ride height
how do i adjust these rings? I got them used and the guy didnt have the tool for them. any input would be appreciated |
The need to be reoved first. You cannot adjust while they are installed.
The clamps are just C-clamps and can be removed with a pair of pliers. They might be rusty (mine were), so just be careful. |
fack...u can't adjust the height while the shock is on the car?
is there no way to raise the car and adjust them while on there? i mean that will relieve some of the pressure on shocks? |
I really doubt it. The clamp and spring perch are under pressure from the compressed spring.
|
There shouldn't be any pressure with that lowering spring ...if you jack it up and the spring is loose(like you can move it around alot with your hand ...go ahead
