adding vtec

Is it possible to vtec a d16a6 motor. like how you would to a ls vtec?

yes, its called a mini-me....search on honda-tech or honda-swap or even on here, there's lots of info on mini-me's out there.

yes you can.. but the gains won't be by that much.

and you'll barely notice the vtec hit..

This is whats done to the motor so far, 89 d16a6 1.6 single cam non v-tec balanced crank and rods stock pistons and rings,shaved head,5 angle valve job,ported intake man,tb bullfrog butterfly,bullfrog stage 2 cam si ecu chipped rev limit at 7000rpm motor pulls damn hard AEM short ram intake 1st gen b16 injectors.

unfortunately the cam you're running couldn't be used on a mini-me and that nice 5 angle valve job would be wasted.
You would probably make your car slower by puttin on a d16z6 head compared to the one thats on there now, SOHC VTEC isn't anything special.

instead of geting a vtec head.. why dont you invest a little into your driveline and suspension? It'll make it a fun car to drive

What else could i do to make it faster. Dont get me wrong it pulls good. From going from a vr6 to this i need power.

Im thinking of throwing a turbo what would be a good turbo setup.
