Question Adding a Turbo???

What engine mods if any need to be completed before you can add a turbo?? Can you add it straight to the stock motor, or what needs to also be changed to handle a turbo application.??

what car are you going to do it too you drive a 05 si coupe i wouldnt suggest boosting it just for warrenty reasons and that its new

but its a good idea to have some internals like rods pistons and a good head gasket

but tuning is key thats gonna make or break the engine

just my 2 cents

you can safely run about 7-9 psi with stock internals and some good tuning.

TUNING IS KEY!

i'm running 6 psi rite now.. its not bad..not great... want more boost!!! its addictive!

if ure looking to boost on stock internals, the only mod i would make to your car is a new clutch that can handle the power. It wont be fun turboing your car for a week then realizing your stock clutch cant take it.
