Adding a Turbo???

What engine mods if any need to be completed before you can add a turbo?? Can you add it straight to the stock motor, or what needs to also be changed to handle a turbo application.??

If you do a search (upper link button on this page) on turbo's, you should be able to find your info, if not, there are lots of websites that have DIY turbo info.

what car are you going to do it too you drive a 05 si coupe i wouldnt suggest boosting it just for warrenty reasons and that its new

but its a good idea to have some internals like rods pistons and a good head gasket

but tuning is key thats gonna make or break the engine

just my 2 cents

you can safely run about 7-9 psi with stock internals and some good tuning.

TUNING IS KEY!

i'm running 6 psi rite now.. its not bad..not great... want more boost!!! its addictive!

my buddy ran 7 psi on a 02 Si Veloz and he blew a headgasket. it was tuned on Greddy E-manage.

if ure looking to boost on stock internals, the only mod i would make to your car is a new clutch that can handle the power. It wont be fun turboing your car for a week then realizing your stock clutch cant take it.

I agree, tunning is key.......but I wouldn't even bother with that new of a car.....run it stock till the warrentee is over
