yes it does.
I think my gas mileage has increased a little bit since i've boosted my car.
I've got a few friends with daily driven, year round boosted cars, once you get over the oil leaks and get a soild tune, you're golden. If you don't want stuff to break, use quality parts, have the right people working on your car and keep an eye on things regularly (oil, coolant, brake fluid, condition of tires and their air pressure).
