Skunk2 coilovers work fine. I've sold many sets with no complaints. I would recommend aftermarket shocks if you are going to lower your car more than 1.5" or so.

A friend of mine has them on his Integra with KYB GR2 shocks. The handling improvement is very good with the car dropped and believe it or not the ride quality is not much worse than stock. I would recommend them if your are looking for sleeves.

I got Skunk2 coilovers right now. The ride is stiffer but really isn't that bad compared to stock. I've been running the coilovers on 2.25" drop, with stock shock for about a year and a half, and its still hasn't blown "yet". Got to save up for KYBs.

They are not the same. I'd actually say GC's are better than Skunk2's, but they cost more money than Skunk2's. If you can get GC's for $320, tell me where cause I can probably sell a boatload of them.

I sold my used ones for $350 (Ground Controls)... but I paid close to $600 for them two years ago. I sold them last year to some lucky bastard locally with a riced out 96-98 coupe.

For some reason, I don't think GC and Skunk are made by the same folks... visit ground-control.com and then skunk2.com to see why I say that.... and I can't see how you got them for $320 CDN, when they sell for $299 USD on GC's website?? Oil caps are a bit diff't than your susp, LOL, that's a bad analogy man!

There is no way that they are the same. The parts aren't even identical. I bet they are GC knockoffs being sold at that price. I totally understand the concept of outsourcing to factories in order to minimize costs, but I don't think it's the case here.

Ya mang... GCs are fuggen engraved with the logo, and the springs are Eibach with the ground control logo printed on... no boo-sheet here. I don't know about Skunk2s cuz I never bothered with another sleeve after the GCs.

Here's a pic of the GC:

Here's a pic of Skunk2:

Notice that the GC has one locking ring and the Skunk2 has two locking rings. Huge difference there already just by looking. Bruno also already mentioned that GC uses actually Eibach springs whereas none of the other coilover sleeve manufacturers do so.

BTW, it's not that I don't believe you at all. IMO, it's probably that you've been misinformed by the shop, which is inexcuseable on their part since they're selling the product and misrepresenting it.
