About a 92 LS engine...

Hi,

I was wondering what would the going price be for a 1992 Integra LS (USDM) engine that has roughly 250k on the motor? As well, the manual tranny and ECU is included in the package... The engine is running fine BUT the synchro for the 3rd gear is gone...

If anyone has any SERIOUS ideas of what this engine is worth on the market, please reply...

Also, what would be the general price to rebuild this engine to almost brand new, if not brand new (including tranny prob)...

Appreciate your time folks... :D

There is alot of nightmares concerning rebuild engines, with the same money or maybe alittle more go to a JDM shop and get a replacement engine. The engine would be around 60K km on it. Becareful of the people selling you USDM instead of JDM, check engine codes and VIN, make sure it is not from North American, those engines are beat up, doggystyle. I am only suggesting this b/c you want to rebuild, it cost alot, so why not get a new engine and save money.

I understand your point, but I'm just curious about the price for this engine and rebuilding it because it's actually coming from a friend of mine and he is willing to sell it for $500 or even less for everything...

But thanks for everyone's advice... I'm still waiting for my friend to quote me the exact price for everything (including install labour and such), so I'm not sure if I'll be purchasing this engine or not... :shrugs:

My brother is selling the exact same motor, also where the 3rd gear grinds abit, but has only 150,000 kms on it. It includes everything (tranny, ecu, motor, clutch, fuel/water pump....etc.) minus the flywheel.

I wouldn't spend $500 for an ls motor with 250K. The kilometers is way too high for $500. Im pretty sure you can grab the same motor with alot less kilometers for the same price. Like 90ls said, by the time you purchase the motor and rebuilt the motor you can grab a B16 with less than 60K on it and you've got a sweet motor. If you do grab an LS motor I suggest replacing the head and making her an LS VTEC.
