99 civic Coupe DX Question
 

Hey guys i just took a 99 civic coupe dx out for a test drive and im going to buy it..... i noticed that the throttle body is vertical.....as where most of the other civics are the normally found horizontal style....is mine worse? would it be worth my while to upgrade to a skunk2 style?

yours is vertical because it has a d16y7 engine on it
most of the civics come with this motor for that generation.
only the si model coupes come with horizontal ones because they have d16y8's

nothing is wrong with it except you dont have vtec which on a sohc you wont feel anyway.

I have been lookin at a skunk2 intake would me buying one be worth my time/would it fit with my OEM throttle body??

not worth it.
any mod of a single over head cam is useless unless you are ready to spend money in actually modifying the motor for either boost or building it up n/a
