98 si engine

i just purcheased one of my friend its from a 98 si i was wondering if i can swap it into my 93 dx with any problems

You'll need a Si ecu inorder for vtec to work. Other than that.. it pretty much drops straight in.

u think its worth the money to put the 98 si in im gonna waste around 700-800

Cheapest 25 hp you'll ever gain plus you get a lower mileage, newer engine.

Im going to be swapping in a D16Y8 (Si VTEC) engine in my 94 LX sedan, Im looking forward to it. Should be a increase from stock now, and Im converting to manual.

wont there be OBD problems? 5th gens are OBD-1 and the D16y8 is OBD-2. Would it be better for them to get the D16z6 so they dont have to convert the computer?
