I was just wondering if anyone knows what the engine is in a 1996 Civic si (with A/C and ABS). I was told that it was a D16Y6 but I'm not sure if that's correct since I can't find it anywhere.

Also, if it is a Y6, will bolt ons for a Y8 work? (I'm looking at a Turbonetics kit, and I want to make sure).

it should be a d16y8, the dx's have a d16y7 ive never heard of a y6

yeah if its stock then the motor will be a d16y8

it should be on the right side of the motor. and there should also be a sticker with bar code saying your motor number.
