96 - 00 SI engine
I'm thinking about putting in an SI engine and transmission in my 98 dx.... I see ads and things for em at different kms... is there anyway to know if the ones i'm looking at are acutally SI engines/transmissions and is there anyway to tell how many KMs are actually on em?

no way to tell how many km's are on it. But unless your current engine is toast, there is no point swapping in a Canadian Si motor. The labour will outweigh the advantages of that motor. It's still slow and underpowered.
You're better off saving up some more cash and swapping in a B series. Or....boost your d series.
