Thumbs down 92 civic..Cracked fuel line :( help!!

sooo i was changeing my fuel filter and had everything off except one bolt. the bolt was siezed so i call my plumber friend (out of all the mechanics i know i call a pumber )over who has alot more tools then me to see if could get off. anyways he ends up hitting the fuel line trying to get off and the fuel line cracked about a foot down right to the braket ( not sure wha to call it).

so my idea is to get a rubber gas pipe and fuel injector clamps and remake the connection but i wanna do this ust temporary cause seems risky. and then fine some one skilled with a pipe bender and flare and can remake the connection legit

so my question is any better ideas? will my idea work saftely? and is it practical to change the entire fuel line and how much would be looking at?
And Does anyone know some one who could remake the connection legitly?

Thanks guys! Hope can help

Was it the banjo bolt side that broke of the hard steel inlet line? If it was the hard steel inlet line that broke I had a simlar problem. When it happened to me I brought the new filter with my to crappy whent to thier fittings section in auto found a fitting with the threaded end to thread into the filter and the other end was a small section of anout 2 inces long. I then cut off the broken secontion of line and used fule injection rubber hose (about 5.25 a foot) to make the connection. I put 40,000 on the car after without any problems.

Best of luck.
