Probably around $700ish.
Call KS-R and ask him for an estimate. He's an affiliate.

BTW the engine you're asking for is the d16z6.

I think thats just the engine itself, but if ya give him a call, he can tell you exactly.

$700 is the usual going rate.
If I am wrong though please let me know!

I think there is a difference between the EG and Ek engine, right? I think there is a 2 hp difference, for some ppl they don't think that makes a diff, but it does, not just hp, but the whole factory tune aspect is diff.
Just make sure it is a real jap. not an North American junk yard crap, that some guy got and tells you that it is JDM. Hate those stupid ppl, but that is a reality for Si engines.

Do some research, ask them for the VIN # and check their engine codes make sure it is JDM, you get more power from JDM always. Plus the 3 stage Vtec.

Would that mean that the North American d16z6 or d16y8 would be cheaper then $700?

the stock 9295 civic engine (d16z6) runs 127hp at the crank, and the d15b, like the jdm version of that motor is about 135-140 at the crank, i have one in my bro's 96 hatchback cx with a cut head ported and polished, and a valve job and it is a ******* beast
the motor tranny ecu wiring harness goes for about 800$ for the d15, hell in the spring time when i do a swap, i'll sell you the motor out of my car 92 si hatch. for cheap.
