91 gearbox problem

It seems like when i try to put the car into first gear its a struggle.Its not a clean smooth shift into first gear,is there a problem with the box itself......:cry:

yes, but there isn't much you can do about it. Most likely culprit is bent shifter forks that are somewhat misaligned. What causes this? Forcing it into first without coming to a stop.

ya...dotn' try to put lot's of pressure to get it into gear cause that will make **** worse.....try gogin into another gear then take ti out and engage first....

Yea i was about to say that,when i put it into second gear and than put it into first its fine,so should i replace anything or just leave it the way it is?
