88-91 civic drum brakes issue

First off! when i did my brakes 2 months ago i had no problem's ... there are just a standard shoe's no other for si or dx or cx... which i understand. because the shoe's i put on with the adjuster all the way in... the new drum will not fit... i took apart the shoes and lined them up to the old shoe's .. and there maybe a quarter of an inch bigger... ... i obviously see why i cannt fit my rotor on.... but i had no problems while i did my car 2 month ago... if anyone could suggest a good idea for me ....

thank you

these parts are aftermarkert but they told me they are the same casting they just re line them... maybe aftermarket casting...

they might have given you the wrong year shoe's thinking that a ek shoe would fit a ef. I notice when i go to the junkyards that ef's, and eg civics have smaller rear drums than ek's.

the E-Brake is down all the way... unless it needs to be loosened up... maybe seized.

if your parking brake was seized it would be damn near impossible to get the drum off in the first place. Anywho, if the adjuster is all the way in you should have a nice amount of room. If you don't i'd match up your old shoes with your new ones to see if they do indeed match
