6th gen shox on a 5th gen

Will it work if I took 6th gen aftermarket shox and installed them in a 5th gen

yep

you need to press in a new 6th gen bushing for the rear or cut down ur existing bushing on both sides

and for front u can slip the collar off the 5th gen that holds the brake lines and slide it on the 6th gen shock
