6 cylinder soc(97 accord) engine in eg hatch...?

As ingnorant as it might sound to an expert I ended up getting this engine for free so i just wanted to know if it would fit in my car and if so how difficult the "swap" would be or if i should just sell it...

Also it has no tranny so i'd like to kno if mine would be ok...?

Let me know

Thanks

Eze

Its not a direct bolt on, it would need a lot of work and a lot of money, i dont think its worth it, and no your tranny, i am guessing you have a d15, would not work either.

says he got the engine for free, so what i suggest, since u got the engine for free assuming it is good and strong, spend the money u were going to spend buying an engine and put it towards the install but i think it will be very expensive

you would have to find a tranny at the junkyard or something... get a reliable mechanic with lots of swap experience and lots of custom work experience as well... it will take some money and time, but if you have the $$ to do the install (since the motor was free), its worth the $$ once its done, but you might want to consider better suspension... improve the handling as well =)

have fun =)

I'd sell the engine and buy something easier to swap, its pretty much all custom work i'd imagine

A V-6 in an EG would be the ****. I say do it if possible. Go get some quotes from proffesionals who would be able to do it. Then see if its worth selling or keeping. I would probably rather put $5000 towards installing the v6 then buying a type-r.

thanks for the info and suggestions id rather not go tru the hassle tho even if the engine was for free...

I got it from a shop my friend works at which replaced an engine which didnt need to be replaced... as in the car had the same problem and the engines compression is fine...

selling this thing on here or anyware else will probably be a b*tch but more than likely not as much as installing and cheaper too... cheaper is always better

wat shud i sell this for...?(I'm asking after i have it up for $250 already lol)
