5spd rebuilt cost

5spd rebuilt cost

any of you had a 5spd tranny rebuilt?....and if so what did it run you?........im assuming when they rebuild it they dont include a new clutch as part of it? just the tranny internals

my buddy spent about $2000 rebuilding his tranny but that was with a Kaaz LSD, so i am sure $800-1000 of that was for the LSD.

...Depending on what tranny it is I would just buy another instead of the rebuild.

But if its for your mustang let me know I have one for you.

i would rebuild instead of buying another. Because it would suck to spend $600-800 on another tranny that could possibly be in worse shape than your current one. With a rebuild you know your getting new parts.

Depends on which tranny. Sometimes it's cheaper and better to buy another.

Im with zeeman. Screw this used stuff, how do you know...you dont. Plus even if it runs fine now, in 2 months time something could go wrong and your in this situation all over again

yeah i wanna rebuild it and know its good as new, not buy another tranny and risk it, i called a shop today and got a quote of 1800 to rebuild it, seems like alot doesnt it?
