if only it were as easy as slapping a b16 head on a b20 bottom end i am sure that there would be lots of people with crvtec's.
I mean sure you CAN just leave the bottom end stock, but don't rev past 7000 and in my opinion that kind of defeats the point of adding a vtec head. And don't expect it to last too long if you constantly abuse the crap out of it.

You could count on me for a sponsorship (at least), i am actually building an engine (well bottom end) right now, i am just trying to save up some money for the machine work i need done, b/c its big $$$$ as i am sure you know.
The other side of toronto would be awesome. I live an hamilton also, and I would work for u for free too. Just wanna learn about cars!

zeeman, he needs to spend cash at a reputable performance import machine shop. he cannot do this himself, maybe with someone who knows his stuff and can instruct the shop what to do but with the magnatude of this job he will be going back and forth to that shop constantly. also my shop might still happen, im going to look at a place tomorrow in pickering and i have found machinery and some money so lets hope. i want to be able to make a killer fast and reliable engine for a rock bottom rate and i think evryone would be happy with that. i will also be looking to sponsor a couple cars eg: you supply the parts and i will do the build and machining for nada and they will have to run my stickers and goto the track and other events. i think you maybe a good candidate for this Andrew since you have some good knowledge behind you...hell im going to be looking for someone to train soon, wanna be an engine builder?

just b/c u have a 200whp Civic vs his 200whp Neon... b/c of the lighter car you have, he still gonna be ahead if not beside you... his Torque numbers are AMAZING!

he will pull and pull very hard!
but b/c ive owned a Neon, ive havent gone to the extent of doing motor work, but i knew someone who did motor work on a SOHC Neon which ran 14.7 all days spanking cavaliers.....

zeeman, good write up u definately know your stuff!

what do you mean ppffft 14.7?
Thats good considering the car runs 16-17's stock. Just like civics.
Does your car run better than 14.7?
But Chigga1 is right doesn't matter how much whp his civic will make the neon will still have the advantage with his almost 200 tq

Sounds to me that there is enough info and places for you to call, or pm, and it looks like some of this is going to other topics, so I think this need not go further.
