205/45/15 on 96 hb cx, too big?

My civic's steering doesn't seem to responsive and ont he highway going to 100-120 it seems to sometimes pull to either side. ppl have told me that maybe my tire balancing is off. maybe i just went overkill with the tires? any ideas?

205s are easily ok on a civic.

As your tires get wider, your car will tend to pull more in directions the road takes... If it was generally pulling to one side, then it would be alignment.

Unbalanced tires really only cause shaking, that too generally as your speed increases..

Your stock tire 185/65/14 is 23.47" in diameter, 205/45/15 is 22.26". If anything, your overall wheel facade will be smaller, but wider than before.

You will be fine.
