2000 SiR swap in EG, rear engine mount? ECU?

Hi.

The engine is in, but the rear bracket didnt reach the mount. What kindda rear bracket do I need? Delsol/Teg?

Also, I used my stock engine harness, and modified it fit the B16A2. Now the ECU is a problem. If I used a OBD1 ECU, would it plug into my stock harness? And what should I look for? OBD1 P30 or chipped P28? (BTW, what cars are these ECUs from)?

Thanks.

Mounts:
Rear mount from a Del Sol VTEC or Teg GSR will work. Not completely sure on this but I believe the non-vtec integra mount(b18b) will work as well.

I'm assuming you have the correct lower front drivers side mount?

Wiring Harnesses:
If you used the stock harness off your car, that being your car in your Sig pic, it is OBD1 therefore any OBD1 ECU will plug in. Your car being a Canadian market car should be pre wired for VTEC if I'm not mistaken.

ECUs:
p28 ecu's come from d16z6(CDN Si, USDM ex) equiped civics
p30 ecu comes from(correct me if I'm wrong) JDM EG6's and JDM b16 engined Del Sols(I forget the chassis code)

And before someone else comments "Search is your friend"
Good luck.

I tried that. Was about an inch short. Didnt reach the mount at the back. The 6 gens do have the same chassis, but different mounting positions/mounts. None of the SiR mounts that I got would match my chassis (except the front lower ones). I had to swap the stock ones in....

Hey where is a good place to buy the OBD1 P30 from? I guess I should just pick up the yellow pages and call Japaneese parts shops. But they are all idiots on the other hand. They have no f*cking idea what you are talking about....

what trackhack said it correct except the dx never came with vtec wire's, the plugs are there on the harness but not wired.

here is a nice how to:
http://www.hondaswap.com/forums/inde...howtopic=41608

it will be easier and cheaper for you to find a p28 then it would a p30. i seen a few p28's on the classifieds a while ago.

what was done to mine was we used my p06 from the dx (same ecu you got) and converted it to a p28 and chipped it with the stock map.

Hmmm... Sounds interesting. How did you do this? Did you take it to a shop or person? How much did it cost? Is it better to do as you did, or buy a P30?

Thanks for your help man.
