Lots of work would be needed, I saw a dude selling it on ebay, had to cut out the wheel wells and remake the suspension, it was more of a show car then anything, no way could u drive it down the street.

So imo no, and 17s are a stretch on a 5th gen.

Not without body work, lots of body work. The big problem would be finding rubber to go on those 20's that would fit under your fenders. The normal size tire for a civic is ~23.5 inches. With 20" rims that would mean a sidewall of 1.75". Thats like a 205/20/20 tire to have a perfect fit. Those tires, before you go looking, do not exist. For 20's the smallest width is probably 225+. You wouldn't be able to find those in a profile less than say 35 ( lowest profile I've seen on anything) which is about an additional inch of rubber in every direction above stock size. Not going to happen without a lot of work to the fenders. I know a bunch on the subject of tires fitting into civics because I was running oversized tires for a while. 215/45/17's are really big and just barely fit and they are a lot smaller than what you'll be able to find to mount on 20" rims. Plus, as far as I know EG's have smaller wheelwells than EK's.

i'm running 195-50-r15's with neuspeed race springs and i have about .75" of room between fender and tire

maybe if you wanna make your civic an off road vehicle and you jack it up like 6 inches then your in business

20"? mmm... must you go this big? 17" will make it look bling enough, if you want to go that route.

even 18s rub hard, 19s need body work already, 20s would need a frame chop

A lot of people are asking why. The only reason I ask, is that there was a deal on ebay, for one set of 20 inch chrome rims with rubber for about $350. It sounds too good to be true...

I think you've mistaken your Civic for an Escalade. What are you nuts? Even with EXTREME body modifications, your car will drive like a tank, and you'll get pulled over and ticketed by every cop that sees your car. Seriously though, save up for some decent 17's if you want to go big. Either that ebay price is wrong, or those rims and tires are in the worst possible condition they could be in. I think you'll find you'll have your hands full enough driving around on 17's.

maybe if it was for a show car and it was tubbed over them it would look cool, but it wouldnt turn for crap, and they would rob all of your power, not to mention add a ton of weight

that EK hatch has a C-notched frame like a pickup truck and has lawn chairs for seats.... I'm sure that's REAL driveable

On the back page of the latest Super Street there is an ad for Nitto 20" tires specifically desined for sport compact. The car in the ad is a 7th gen coupe...

I'm not saying it practical or cool...but I think it can probably be done quite easily these days with offset and spacing.
