1997 Civic Si Clutch

i have a 97 Civic and the clutch pedal is very soft like butter, it does not take effort to press the pedal, also first gear is alil difficult to get into gear. I need ur guys help in diagnosing this problem, also if i ever have to replace teh clutch wat OEM clutch will fit with my civic...type R, integras, other civics...or even a cheap aftermarket brand of clutch that is good. Honda wants 400+ dollars for a new clutch assembly for my car. any help would be greatly appreciated!!

soft pedal doesn't always mean bad clutch, check your master and slave cylinders first,
