1993 Civic Hatchback Swap.....help

Hi everyone, I'm not so new to this board... but it is my first time posting here...reason is because I now have a Civic.

I have a 93 Civic hatch, which I bought for real cheap from a relative. It's an automatic, and the only body damage is the rusting from the quarter panels, everything else seems to be in great condition. So since I purchased this car for almost next to nothing...and because of it's good condition, I want to swap in something else...
So now I'm wondering what the best swap would be for this...
and yes I want it to be a standard transmission...so would it be worth it?
I mean I bought the car for dirt cheap...so why not right?

Please give me some suggestions...on what I should do...
people have suggested K20...but I don't have that much to spend..
but like something around the 5k and under range...

Thanks :)

k swap is pretty expensive, id say b16 and boost it like persia said, or go with the b18 gsr make it naturally aspirated,u wont be disappointed either way

I would be using this at the track and as a summer car....so something that would take alot of beating would be nice..
which has the better internals? the b16 or b18 gsr?

is it alot of work to change it over to manual?
