1991 civic engine

Where can i get a 1989-1991 civic cx engine installed with warranty, how much $$ will it cost? Splitfire says $800 for a 1.6l civic Si conversion but he's not gonna hook up the V-tec. Anywhere else i can look? Keep in mind this is a beater, i just want it to run problem free

Check out the affiliates section and give them a call.
I suggest KS-R, why don't you drop in a ZC engine?

dx motor from a 91

Hey i saw our add there, i will be swaping my zc pretty soon well around january hopefully i will be getting rid of my stock dx motor and tranny with a clutch. The motor currently has 160000km on it i am the second owner of the car i bought it with around 45000km a few years ago. No warranty, you can come and see the car, the engine will still be in the car until like i said January. The engine has at least another 150000km left on it easily. The best warranty you can have is to run a compression test on the motor, that will tell you in what shape it is in. I will tell you this you will need to change the valve seals in the motor, when you are putting the motor in i'm sure a mechanic can do it for a cheap price. So i will be asking around 400$ or best offer for the complete motor and tranny. The valve seals are a common problem in these motors they often go around this mileage. The compression is still good on the motor cause the power is still there, except it just burns the oil under hard acceleration. Anyway if your intrested let me know.

KS-R all the way. He'll take great care of you. My old DX motor is there. 140,000 km on it...synthetic oil only used since 40,000km.
He'll give you a good price on the whole deal I'm sure....
but if you have a bit more cash...go with the ZC.
