16" wheel question

Hi,

I'm planning to put on a 16" wheel for my EK.

but what size of tire i should get? (I don't want to adjust the car height)

- 215/45/16 ? Anyone try this size?
- 205/45/16 ?

Thanks!!

Son

205/45/16

Thanks.

It is quite difficult to find R tire for this size (205/45/16).

Which means 98 spec R rims are not perfect fit on EK, is it?

98 spec R, as in 98 integra type R?? cuz those are 5 lug.

goldbadge has the right size

Yes.. those are 5 lugs.

And i'm using the whole EK9 suspension kit now, thats why.

But 205/45/16 is hard to find Racing tires, even semi-race or sport..... For racing tires, A048 doesn't have this size, and many other brand doesn't have too..

So, what tires (racing / street) you all using if putting on 16" rims?

Thanks so much

205/45/16 is the ideal size as it maintains the same overall diametre as stock. however, 205/40 or 205/50 will work, but its not ideal. Then again, if your after R tires, you won't be using the car for daily driving so using a size alittle bigger or alittle smaller is not a big deal.

It will throw off the speedo and odometre alittle but not that big of a deal for R tires. now if you were going to daily drive it, i'd say keep looking for 205/45/16

Street tires such as Yoko ES100 or Kumho SPT can't even touch a race/street tire like Hankook Z212 or Azenis RT-615, but those Hankook of RT-615 Falkens can't touch an R tire. it depends on your usage for the tire. I know RT-615 is not offered in 205/45/16 but I think the Hankook Z212 is

All the information you need is right here. This will tell you if you are in spec with your stock rim/tire size by doing a comparison to what ever size you go up to.

Thanks so much for the info. I think i will stick with 205/45/16 size to prevent tire hitting fender when in the corner.
