1 question....concerning KNOCK sensor

if i am running a 93 cx harness with a obdI gsr ecu will I still need the KNOCK sensor? I heard if i run a OBDI ecu i will not, but doesn't the 94-95 teg have a knock sensor? If i run without it and it pulls a code will it matter/ affect performance?

please let me know thanks

If your running an OBD1 GSR ecu, it WILL look for the knock sensor and throw a code. If you have the connector to the knock sensor you can run wires directly to the ecu provided you have some spare ecu pins lying around. Your other option is to "chip" an OBD1 p06 or p28 ecu and eliminate the knock sensor entirely. Without a knock sensor though, I'd shy away from running anything other than premium fuel.

:dito: just chip it

without the knock sensor won't vtec crossover?

Like mentioned before chipping your ecu is your best bet.
