02 Sensor/catalytic Converter

ok so my 95 dx coupe with the jap spec si engine managed to fail emmissions test by a lot! don't ask why but i let crappy tire do the emmissions analysist test and they advised it needs a cat and an o2 sensor. does anybody have hook ups or advise on where to go to purchase these items. I'v been quoted $479 all the way to $1000 plus. I'm trying not to go the oem route as that's the one that was quoted over a G! I just want to pass my emmissions re-test. Please help guys/gals

Thanks in advance.

(From what i understand i need a 4 wrie o2 sensor and obviously a cat)

well.. the job is not easy, so either way its going to have to go to a shop.

WHat I would recommend is going to an exhaust shop for the cat (shouldnt be more than like $200 if you shop around) maybe a bit more..

An o2 can range from 80-170$ (ive seen some expensive ones).. install is about 1.0 on those.

My shop in oakville can do the o2 if you want, but i see your in woodbridge so thats a bit of a drive, so just shop around locally man

rick from rt priced me out with an oem o2 sensor and a vibrant cat and it's just over 5 for the job so i'm going to go with him and see how it all plays out. He's a wee bit higher than my usual mech but he's got the oem o2 in there so it's the best price yet.
thanks chris_v2

just over 5 sounds pretty good for both services.

goodluck
