'01 Si timing belt replacement - best deal???
 

I live in Oakville and need to replace the timing belt on my '01 Si. Where is the best deal in the GtA and what should I expect to pay? Is this a DYI job or should I leave it to the dealers?

I would want the waterpump replaced at the same time as well as valve adjustment.

my shop in oakville usually charges about 2.8 hr labour for tb/wp. so 83x 2.8. Then add about 150-180 in parts plus tax. valve adj. is 1.0 hours.

Thanks for the info and PM's. I was looking on the internet and read that there was an issue with engine noise caused by defective timing belt tensioners on '01 engines. Anyone know anything about this? Was it a factory recall or just another piece to replace when the timing belt is replaced>
