Me and my friend just finished a B18B swap into his 93 civic. Everything is hooked up correctly, motor starts right up but idles very badlly, like pounding noises from inside the motor. i dunno how to explain it anyways, as soon as you give it a little gas the motor sounds great, no problems at all. Whats causing this irregular idle? Mass Airflow sensor? maybe the IAC valve? what are some possible solutions for this problem??


Also does anybody know how much a used set of vibrant 1.6 SI headers go for ?

Is the ECU throwing codes?

We dont know, nor do we know how to check if it does.

the check engine light would be on if it was throwing codes..

try resetting the ECU...unless uve done it already,what do u'r filters and stuff look like? PCV valve..unless these things are new u should check them out

try unplugging the IACV and see if the idle smoothes out a little, it will idle lower than usual but if the fluctuating stops then you know that could be it.
93 civics don't have mass air flow sensors.
