****** Broke Down on The Highway.

Guyz i friggin broke down on the side of the 401 and Brimley Exit on Saturday Night with my Winter Beater (91 Honda Civic) All of a sudden i heard a snap and the car started slowing down and revving very high.

Ya'll want to know what the most embarrassing part was... is that i was on a date.... Man dat suckz.. lol....

After getting the car towed from the side of the highway to the shop ended up being my timing belt snapped. So i changed thd Water Pump and Timing Belt and did a little tune up with an oil change and everything is mint mint again... lol...

Hope i don't have to experience that again.. lol.. it was embarrassing and freaky when driving at high speeds on the highway....

Just wanted to share that lol....

I guess it doesn't amtter cause its just a beater. If anything just drive it until it totally does.. but yeah usually if your timing belts snaps it causes serious problems. Especialy at highway speeds!

The valves gotta be bent a little. If you were on the highway and your belt broke, there's no way your pistons didn't smack into your valves A LOT! It's probably not noticable though..

Happened to me in an accord.. everything seemed fine, but the car wouldn't break 140KM/HR after that...

for that reason I run the engine without the timing belt cover. it makes for easy visual inspections.
