$85.00! for a head gasket?

$85.00! for a head gasket?

i blew my bottom end in my d16y8, spun a rod etc. Im putting my head onto another d16, i call carquest for a price on a head gasket and theyw ant $85.00! 85.00 for a ****ing head gasket give me a break, i did the heads on my mustang and the gaskets were 22.78 each! since when is a gasket 85.00! that was regular price not under my account.

im gonna assume it will be 50.00 bucks when i go under my account, seemed really high to me but iv never priced out a honda head gasket before.

some guy told me a head gasket is $200 before hahaha

i've purchased felpro d-series headgaskets for $50 before....so $85 is a little steep IMO.

^ thank you, i was thinking 85.00 was a little high....i could see it being 85.00 if it was some super duper head gasket. i just want a basic plain jane one.

go to honda and ask how much they want for an OEM...

suddenly the 85$ seems like a not so bad price

85 if steep for headgasket especially for a d series. anywhere in the world has lower prices than factory. the gsr badge for my 92 integra was 100+ they wanted for it. I said screw that.
