Ha ha, so let's start by saying i'm a retard.

I went to change the air filter on my GF's civic which should have taken all of 2 minutes.

So I twisted the screws holding the cover on and they're all stuck and rusted on so hard that when I thought i loosened them, it turns out I actually broke the threads holding them in.

So i broke 3 of them and they STILL won't come out. They just turn. And 3 came out fine, and 1 is hard, and I am a-scared of breaking that one too.

So, worst case I think i might need a new airbox if I somehow mangle this one beyond recognition.

Does anyone here have a spare stock airbox for a 2001 Civic Ex that I can buy off ya? I hope to also have all the bolts/screws that go along with it.

yer not a retard..
i did the same thing on mine..you have to be really careful installing them, minimal torque..

have you tried any wreckers??

Even I didn't know that, i appreciate the info.
I'll only search for 2001+ non-vtec ones.

And I will definitely try the wreckers if I don't succeed.

But I know more than half of the people here either threw away their stock airboxes or have them sitting in their garages, so hopefully I get lucky.
