I do have some time to waste on weekends occasionally. I think I'm sold.

Where/when?

look at www.solo2ontario.com for the racing schedule for autocross..

just remember there is a pretty in depth class sturcture so that you only race against cars with similar mechanical ability. this is done so that the competition is 90% about the driver. in autocross the only reason to modify your car is to change classes t9o race against a different group of people.

when it comes to spending money on solo2

tires are more important amd will net you more results than any mod you can do.

Yep, and seat time. I say start with a good set of street tires, like Azenis, and learn how your car handles first. Second year, get the R-compounds. In autoX, tires are everything(but not the only thing)

D15 and racing are definetely not antonyms... check the results for the first 2 Hada events, I do well with Mine, Jason does well with his (and Wes does really well with Jason's...)

that said, I'm looking for a D16 but it will bump me from FSP to DSP, a little tougher...

I know I usually beat at least one each of every type... D16, B16, B18, even B18C5's and H22's.

so you went to Square one ?

I did ok there I'll be updating my site with my reportlater. the track was tons of fun. but being seeded 9th in my class meant I first had to race against 8th place in the elmination rounds and they got lane choice.

funy thing was I made it to the second round. it's a best 2 out of three 1st run he coned and my run was clean. second run (switching lanes)both runs were clean and he won.. third run I pulled out all the stops and took the win. boy did I ever have to push my car. since I was the lowest seeded number to advance I had to race the guy that seeded in first place after 2 more runs my day was done.ohhh well ... 8 runs for the price wasn't all that bad

It was good to see you get through Jason, I only got 6 runs, I was seeded 7th (so I ran against 10th) but he easily beat me in 2 runs (damn Miatas).

Any of you guys who want to get into this should really come to Barrie this Sunday (May 30) our (TLMC) events are very laid back (especially this week-end with all the regional competitors being away in Picton)

Cost is low and it's so much fun. Follow the link in my sig for more info.

Don't gauge Solo2 by the pro-solo, it's totally different, Pro-Solo is intense!!! All other events are 1 car at a time.
