if this be a team then let's help each other where we can..
like, i got a spare one of these or got a good connection on one of those....ah, ya need help installing such and such..

more shyt we can walk away with too trophy wise lets the world know there's some new contention in town

me, i'm good for ground kits..
got some wire and connectors (just asking for re-imbursement of expenses) and it adds a great look to under the hood..
the guys at the shop keep taking from my ideas too so i'm pretty good with the imagination....

i think i've got the fiberglass things down pretty good so if someone's looking to experiment a little and spend on the materials...

i'm a pretty god aid and assist to with installing stuff so... (i don't do wheel nuts )

Get it wet sanded at a bodyshop and you should be good to go. I would recommend pm'ing Jay (Team Rukus) and seeing if he can help you out.

As far as audio installs, I can do whatever with fiberglass and stuff. If you need any advice on audio products or install designs I can help with that aswell.

Can I wet sand my car using super fine grit sand paper? Do I need to apply another clear coat? I see thousands and thousands of swirl marks...

yessiree Charles..
not sure what grit but it's up in the 1500 range..
and only use a wet-sand..

it's one of those things you have to be "really careful" doing cuz ya don't wanna go thru the clear if you don't have to....this'll save having to re-do a clear application too.....

if yer clear is shot tho they'd rough it up with 1000 or so before re-doing it..

have been and am still busy _B
we're talking mostly winter projects and stuff that might take an hour or two interim..i haven't done mirrirs before so i didn't offer up my assistance

you can but its a huge risk as you could sand through the clear into the paint and then your facked. If you are doing it yourself try to find a paint depth gauge and use like 1500-2000grit wetsand paper and ALOT of water.

Having a car wetsanded or recleared is really inexpesive so I would recommend just having a bodyshop do it for you.

I mean to do the wet sanding myself. Like have the sand paper sanding while running a little stream of water from the hose.

Will it work like that?

yeah Thats a basic understanding of how to do it. It is really a risky thing to do, your car has nice paint and just needs a proper wet sand or reclear to look like new.

Maybe get a highspeed buffer and some good compounds, that may help you out alot.

I need to fibreglass my system in the trunk. I'm a mechanic so I have a little knowledge on how to install stuff and figure out problems. I don't mind doing electrical stuff. I spend hours cleaning and buffing my car by hand. so if anyone needs anything don't be afraid to ask. I can get parts fairly cheap too mostly non aftermarket things and tires.

But how do we know how much clear coat we have taken off? And would a thin layer of clear coat be bad for the original paint underneath?
