Women are boobied devils.

I'm going for the whole day, no point in driving a distance for 1/2 a day, and I'd like to get more runs in.

Bring your woman, I will keep her entertained

BS must be delt with Swifty and Justly if not, then you only get to see 1/2 a day of drag races.

I prefer to solo as well.

Its cheaper to drag than to park.
$20 with a flyer will let you run all day long, if not its $40
I'm sure there are lots of flyers around.

Is it hard on the engine? Yep, but how many times do you get to go flat all out without any fear of hitting other cars or being chased by cops?

Get it out of your system on the track.

You'll probably do around 5 runs...
more with practices and afterwards.

You probably do more than 5 hard launches a month, your motor will be fine.

The real benefit is that after 1 day of dragging, you'll have a better understanding of your car.

"Whats the point of building these things, unless you're going to drive them?"

Yo sept 7 @ cayuga was amazing! i love racing 1/4 mile!
I did like 14-20 runs and my best for the day was a 15.9 sec . I had so much fun, me and sam did like 4-5 consecutive runs at the end! it was amazing. A much better environment to drive your car hard. Everyone was really nice to, with giving me pointers and such!

Unhappy Drag Racing at Cayuga

I had an awesome time at the track.

But I'm really disappointed at my performance.
I put on a pair of A520s on the front drop the pressure down to 22 psi...

My first run of the Day was 16.7, I was majorly dissappointed.
After every couple runs I would pull the car off to the side and do some tweaking to the point, where I had my car stripped, including front passenger seat, disconnected my power steering and I was still only running mid to high 15s...

Finally during elimination I dialed in a 14.5 "Go Hard or Go Home" and I ran a 15.5 (getting better slowly) but I was still out.

I pulled the car off the track, took off the A520s and bolted my street tires back on.

I pulled up the line, Ran against a stang and pulled off a 15.3, my best time of the day. I checked my tire pressure and it was at 37.8!!! the air in those tire heat up fast.

My car should have been running alot faster.

I think the new tires totall screwed me up, I should have ran with my bling bling, the same set up I've been driving for the last few months...

I was very impressed and pleased by Dave's performance, and will definately be looking forward to going to the track again.

Did you know there are regular drag event on friday nights at Cayuga?
