Regional Event #2 Picton Airport report
Well the second regional took place at an abandoned world war 2 airfield in picton Ontario.
runing on Pavement that hasn't been touched up since the 50's sure is rough on tires. the course was a fast 50+ second course. I started the day out with the unbelieveable finish after the first run and found myself in first place in H stock. After the 5 timed runs I had dropped to 4th place ( I believe.) and was within 7 10th's of a second of being in first the close competition in H stock is amazing. between the top 7 competitors in that class only 1 second separated first from 7th..
The Big mistake I made was not changing the shocks from street seting to the race setting for the 4th run I realized on that and that run felt great The first 3 felt like something was wrong (duh the shocks) The last run I messed up by down shifting for a certain turn. I must continue to remind myself that the time it takes to down shift and then up shift to keep the car in the power band is slower then leaving the car in a higher gear and just leting the power come in....
on another note WHAT POWERR I HAVE A D SERIES ENGINE!!
I'd like to thank once again TNA performance for the recent racing seat I got... boy does that work nice. www.Intralink360.com and Sierra Equipment continue to be very very helpful sponsers.
anyways thanks to everyone that has helped make my car competitive this year
