Lighting in Car Shows

Hi all,

I am very interested in attending different car shows for this coming summer, but I have a quick question.

As some of you might have noticed, when one looks at his/her car inside the garage at night, the paint on the car actually looks a lot brighter and better than that during the day, when the sunlight hits the car at some awkward angles.

My question is:

In inside car shows like ImportFest, for example, does the lighting used inside the facility resemble that of the one used in a typical home garage. Or in other words, does the lighting inside the show hide flaws in paint for you?

Thanks!

most indoor shows use all types of stage lighting from fixed colour light to robitic lights. importfest uses both, half the show is lit with mercury stadiem lights and the goes to night mode, with stage lighting. yes some lights affect the way the car looks but generally speaking a clean and shinny car will bring out your paint flaws under any light.

It's even worse if you have swirl marks!
