Launching
#21
Ohhh! Is that what it is?!!!
Bbarbalo...
I actually experienced MAD wheel hopping I guess than...
Cuz when I had my first car.. I would take off at the line at a small airport street... and my wheel would do some MAD hopping on the ground. It was like bouncing off the ground.. as soon as it landed.. it kicked up and bounced again... My entire car was rattling like a ************!!!!
Is that cuz I dropped it at a too high rpm?

Or it'd go right through the road.
How about we try and experiment on somebody's car?

Launching is so critical when it comes
to racing at the "track" of course.
I've decided to stick with street tires for
now , just cause I want to see how fast
I could be in the real world. But dayam,
launching the car just right off the line
with streets is so difficult and inconsistant.
Would it be best to take off at idle with less
torque and a little wheel spin or at 2500 to 3500
RPM and feather the throttle. I'm really curious as to
which technique my fellow CIVIC racers use for
launching on the asphalt at the "track"
Which technique do you racers think would give
you the most success in?

the track is so different from the street, the track is slick cuz of all the rubber on the line, i feathered at 3000 and the tires chirped, then grabed. LSD trannys are hard to run at the track. i know ppl that start in second cuz its easier
