The reason you feel like it gives you extra pull is simple. When you shift and break your tires loose your not moving forward as much as you should as you have alot less traction but your rpm's are climbing higher and higher. Then when you eventually get traction your tires grab the ground hard forcing your whole car to jerk you back in your seat giving you the false assumption that your pulling hard.

If you look at it logically you will see that the more time you have traction the better your times will be as the more power your putting to the ground.

What do you think an LSD helps you do?? Put more power to the ground. If spinning or chirping your tires made you go faster there would be no need for an LSD.

I'm not saying that with an LSD you can't or won't chirp your tires but it's designed to help you put that power to the ground and limit the tire spin.

Traction is such an issue with FWD
With or without LSD you still break
loose but less with LSD. Jacking up
the rear high at the track helps
traction eh Coupe.

Good point "B" but jacking up the rear
puts even more weight at the front end.
