H22 baby!
when i do my swap it will deffinetly be a H22, my friend ran 13.796 at the 1/4 in his 5th gen h/b on STREET TIRES!
thats an amazing time plus he only did the straight up swap with type s tranny and exaust, no bolt-ons what so ever not even an intake, his car is really light tho he took alot of weight off...
props mikey

H22
I know somone that used to have one in a crx, and the freakin car flew, i was shacking when I got out of the car.
But I wouldn't waste my cash on that motor, I would just build an LS VTEC for half of the price that an H22 goes for, and they run low 14's in a 5th gen, only half a second difference for half the costs

yeah h22 is fast but lets talk handling and over all driveability. A honda with a motor like that is like a mustang, fast in the stragiht but like a boat in a turn. just imagine all the understeer you'll get i mean forget about driving this thing in the winter time that would be a nightmare.

what kind of idiot would just do the swap and drive the car, morons! and there are many of them around. You have to change your entire front suspension and brakes all around and if you have drums i suggest you get rear disks. There's alot of work into swapping an H22 in a civic which many people don't realize.

understeer, Its all a myth. Everyone with a h22a in a civic say that it is a big myth. All you need is a little stiffer suspension and you're good. People on CSi say that and same with honda tech.com. Thats what i have heard. I'll only know when i drive one

no replacment for displacemnt...
H22 is the only way to go...
I agree with the driveablity issues.. i have a JDM H22 in a 4G PRELUDE. In the winter there is no sense even trying to drive it, and the summer in the rain .. again big traction issues.. and thats in a car that weight 3000lbs i cant imagine a civic drivablity...

Me personally I would go with the displacement of the H22, afterwards it's much easier to make a car handle like a dream, instead of trying to make torque.
