yah PT cruizer, they took the neon and made it uglier lol,

I guess the beatle is right up there!

They need a new design to make it unique and fast. It would sell allot better in a new chassis

SRT-4s are very quick...

reliability is all based around how much you beat on the motor...

there enough people on this board that do work on their cars to know that, they are doing more work and maintenance because they beat on the car, not because its reliable or unreliable.

many of our civics last because we change all the parts...

swaps on breaks, suspension, powertrain....

gimme a break.

This thing is fast out of the box, let give credit where credit is due.

has anyone seen my echo?

I agree! but its still ugly lol. But i guess beauty is in the eyes of the beholder.

Ill be takeing the SRT for a ripp soon, my buddy is a manager of sales at a chrysler dealership, his demo comes in next week. So ill judge it first hand, and it will be soley based on powertrain and suspension. My sister owens a 2003 Neon and yah we both know our opinions on that car, she hates it cuz its always in the warrenty shop, but she bought it cuz it was cute* lol

its funny how S2000 kid likes to flame.
and how he was going to buy it as a winter beater.

yes what we meant is out of the box for the price best bang.
you got Torque and HP.

i love the S2000..... dont get me wrong, but if you drive a 14.4 car vs a 14.2 car, how many car lengths is that S2kid????? ill tell you.
about 2-3.....

you can boost a f20c and throw low compression pistions if you want.... that would still cost more.... whereas you UPGRADE what u got and it will still be faster!

remember one thing.
HP doesnt win races... Torque does.

everyone is entitled to there opinion....
so back off on middlemiss....

why dont u give him a cookie and oyu can take my offer on a **** sandwich?

hahah

As a rule of thumb 3 car length per second faster in a 1/4 mile

SO that .33 seconds per car length

so thats ont even 1 car length

are we talking about stock speed or actualy comparing them.. like lets say maybe the S2000 is a bit slower.. i bet it will get better gas milage better handling better looks its not like you buy a car to race all around town .. a neon is more practical b/c its a four door but when it comes right to it for 26000 i wouldn't take either i def. would go for either This or S4

I won't diss the power, cause power is power no matter which way you look at it, it is all written on paper and tested.

As for reliability, I agree with Sam that if you drive easy and take care of it, it should last. But when a recall is in order, there is nothing you can do about it.

As for buying the SRT4 as a winter beater, not sure what the intention was, to proof that one has enough money to buy a brand new 30G (well after all the fees) car just to collect salt or to proof that domestic isn't worthy enough. I thought such comment wasn't needed in the first place.

There is no need to step on each other's ride for the sake of pride crushing. If it was intended in the first place.

All and all, I sometimes don't like the interior of some domestic cars, the chubby buttons and the layouts. We had a SunBird before. But we didn't have much problem. Car ran fine except my occasional netural drop cause I was a dumb 18 year kid back then. I just disliked the interior.

big ****in deal, they threw a turbo on a neon, wowy, its still an inferior car with a turbo straped onto it, so far dodge has been nothing but unreliable garbage, untill i see, in 10 years from now, that dodge is reliable, then thats when i make my decision, nice try, any ****ty company can strap on a turbo to their car and charge a few extra grand, to me dodge is at the bottom of the list with hyundai... and probably ford...no wait.... kia.. bleh

many cars their ****ty.. but cmon.. think about the hemi lol you have to admit that americans can sure make a truck.. the new f150 is pretty damn nice too.. and escalade.. dunt get me started on that.. depends what your looking for but when going for a small 4cyl i wouldn't trust anything but japanese... and german(most are 6)

whoa, trucks are another story.... i still wouldn't buy a dodge, but i'd consider the ford, i'd definetly go for the gm truck,... escalade, h2, avalanche
i like most of em really, domestic can make a pretty good 8 cyl
and yes, hemi's are impressive tho
my preference would probably be
a pilot, tundra or nissan titan.. mmm

lets stick to the topic shall we.

yes maybe at the end the SRT4 is a NEON.
but who cares... my 1st gen neon was just as fast as any swapped civic coupe with a B18c1.....

big whoop, my neon was a really fun car, cheap interior and stuff, but hey it did the job. it revved to 7600RPM and had torque.

as for the kid with a S2000..... you talk all big like u have money coming out your ****..... your parents probably bought it for you unless you got your MX-6 mixed up with a S2000 who knows... but dont think u can come on here and diss people and say OH I WAS GONNA BUY THE SRT4 for a winter beatr.... trust me you wouldnt be going anywhere. who gives......

man i hate how people come on here and act all like there the ****.... OH throw low compression on a f20c and boost it.... hahah sounds like that answer came from a Q&A from superstreet

but whatever........ all im saying from the orginal post is, that 500HP was fast

and yes i love my Honda's, but like JSK said.... you gotta give it respect where it is due!

The fact is s2000 kid, you have nothing really intelligent to say here. You dont really know about the srt-4.

Stop being so defensive... I would love to own a s2000.. if i had that kinda cash.. Im lucky enough that my father lets me drive his SRT-4 (that is when i can pry the keys from his hand)

Lsd and 230hp in the winter would be scary..
