$26000 for a stock srt-4

$5000 for a 93 cx, $5000 for a motor and roughly $16000 for motor and suspension upgrades and i'm pretty sure that a civic with $16000 in the motor and suspension can kill the srt-4

in conclusion i would rather spend $26000 on my civic then a srt-4
thats just my opinion

stock for stock huh

the s2000 will pull hard on an srt4...you fail to realize that the s2k despite the lack of low end torque has such a high redline that higher in the power band is where the 2 really face off

from a standing start the srt will pull first but a 1-2-3 gear redline in the s2000 will put it side by side if not ahead depending on the driver...when the srt4 is in its highest gear with a fully spooled turbo, the s2000 is sitting around 5-6000rpm in 6th hence depending on the driver the odds are minimal for who exactly would pull ahead, keep in mind the s2000 will still have between 2500-at most 3800rpm left to keep going with the srt where the srt is by that point maxed out

id also like to add these cars are in different classes, bottom line anyone can make a car go fast in a straight line, but to really see how good a driver is put them on the track in a STOCK car and 9 times out of 10 the stock performance is more than what they can handle. besides srt4 vs s2000...you mean to tell me the srt4 is more pimp? i beg to differ!

Is the s2000 in the same price range? I think not..
Let me spend 40 g's on the srt4 then haha

S2000 will run about 14.4 in the quarter - Top Speed 147 mph

Srt4 will do it in about 14-14.2.. (some ppl have run 13.8) STOCK
Srt4 top speed 153 mph

I know this is a honda board.. but honda's are not the only car in the world..

Have you driven a srt4?

dude i guess you havent read previous posts i was gonna buy one of those as a beater

dont start some bull**** flame war...you got one good, you think i think honda is the only thing? you gotta be kidding me

you are entitled to your own opinion but your giving times and all that big friggin deal...give the car to a regular driver and see how they do thats my point...

why do i bother...people are too friggin stubborn.....you can give point after point and times after times...but I KNOW how the srt does when pushed! witnessed it first hand.

look at the bigger picture 2.5L turbo inline 4 versus 2L naturally aspirated inline 4...hmmmmmm wonder what would happen with a lower compression f20c on boost, i know about the stages and blah blah...obviously youre some car god because you pull time trials off the net good job...would you like a cookie with that?

Bottom line, the SRT4 out the door is a bargain regardless if Chrysler makes it. Car is fast and comes stocked with everything you need top to bottom.

Im not starting a flame war.. just pointing out basic facts.

And the facts are that the s2000 makes more hp stock then the srt-4 does stock..

Correction on your post above.. its 2.4 litre.. But i thought you knew about these cars.

S2000 - 240 hp

Srt-4 - 230hp

Your all about the flaming.. I could care less.. Stock for Stock a srt4 would blow the doors off a S2000 .

And yes i want a cookie, make it an oreo.

Thanks

car and driver magazine wasnt too impressed with the srt-4...they only run a 14 sec 1/4...14.3 or somethin like that...its a nice lil domestic runner though but will never have the backing that the imports do...I can pretty much guarantee it will be phased out soon enough from lack of sales

I think the SRT4 is amazing!...i'd throw my civic out the door for one.......that thing can boot....but we can't say anything about reliablity yet....cause it hasn't been out that long...civics on the other hand............are the most reliable cars out there i think.....next to some other imports . .
